Vice President, Research & Client Advisory

Leslie Ament is a Customer Intelligence Management thought-leader and analyst who focuses on how organizations capture, manage, analyze and apply actionable customer insight to improve customer management techniques, reduce operating expenses and to accelerate corporate growth.  Her coverage areas include: CRM, Web Analytics, Business Intelligence, Media Intelligence/Search/Text Analytics, Marketing Automation and Customer Data Management/Data Quality.


Previously, Ament served on management teams and lead global marketing and market research groups at Demantra, Inc. (acquired by Oracle), Arthur D. Little Management Consulting, Harte-Hanks, Banta Corporation, International Thomson Publishing (Chapman & Hall, UK) and Carnegie Hall, Inc. She is a member of the American Marketing Association, Society for Competitive Intelligence Professionals, Customer Relationship Management Association, DataShaping Certified Analytic Professional, Arthur D. Little Alumni Association, Software Industry Information Association and a Board Member of the Product Management Association.

Ament completed her doctorate Phi Kappa Phi at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and her Master's and Bachelor's degrees at the Indiana University-Bloomington. Her passions are international travel, spicy food, classical music, jazz, and Chicago-style rhythm & blues.


Senior Vice President 
Zvi Ruder's role encompasses operations, content licensing, partnerships and consulting for Hypatia. His areas of expertise include: information services, digital media, acquisitions and licensing for all types of journal, book, reference and research products for leading Scientific, Technical & Medical [STM] publishers as well for the Life Science and Biotech industries.

Dr. Ruder has held executive and senior management roles with leading global organizations as Decision Resources, Inc., Academic Press, [acquired by Elsevier], Springer Science & Business Media, American Institute of Physics, and Kluwer Academic Publishers. His professional memberships in scientific associations consist of: the American Chemical Society, American Physical Society, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the American Association of Professional and Scholarly Publishers. Moreover, Dr. Ruder was the recipient of the prestigious Bi-National Science Foundation Fellowship and the Rotschild post-doctoral fellowship.

He attended both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Ben-Gurion University, Israel and holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in engineering. In his spare time, Zvi enjoys fine wine, science fiction and travel. A member of the American Vexillogical Society, he is also a serious collector of books relating to political symbolism.


Director, Client Account Services & Business Development
Joe Azzolino joins Hypatia Research, LLC with over 20 years of technology expertise at companies such as
Inforonics, Gemini Professional Services and GenRad. Previous management roles have ranged from head of
professional services to Director of Global Business Development.


Joe holds a BS degree in Management of Information Services (MIS) from Northeastern University. In his
spare time, Joe enjoys family cruises to exotic locations and travel in general.





Contributing Senior Research Fellow
Cindy Jutras is a widely recognized expert in analyzing the impact of enterprise applications on business 
performance. Utilizing over 35 years of corporate experience and specific expertise in manufacturing, supply chain
and business performance management, Cindy has spent the past 5 years benchmarking the performance of software solutions in the context of the business benefits of technology.

Prior to founding  Mint Jutras, Cindy was Vice President, Research Fellow and Group Director for the Aberdeen 
Group/Harte-Hanks where she conducted survey-based research on ERP, suite-based enterprise applications
and business performance management. During her tenure with Aberdeen she directly managed a variety of
research practices including Enterprise Applications and ERP, Manufacturing, and Product Innovation.

Cindy has traveled the world speaking at executive conferences on her original supply chain concept, Virtually
Vertical Manufacturing
. She is the author of the book ERP Optimization as well as numerous magazine articles
and has published hundreds of benchmarks and other research reports. Cindy holds a Masters of Applied Science
from Boston University and graduated summa cum laude with a BA from Merrimack College in mathematics, with
concentration in physics and computer science.

Senior Analyst, Enterprise Information Management & Data Quality
Starting in 1987, Howard Baldwin has covered the impact of technology on business writing about everything from PCs and Macintoshes to games and mainframes, and the chips that run them. With extensive expertise at leading industry publications as: Electronic Business, Electronics Design Chain, ZDNet Tech, M-Business, Line56, PC Computing, Corporate Computing, UnixWorld, Open Systems Today, Macworld, CIO, and Upside, Baldwin's work as executive editor, senior editor, columnist and author has significantly influenced and educated business leaders for over two decades.

In the book publishing industry, Baldwin co-authored Teach Yourself Macintosh in 24 Hours (with Anita Epler; Hayden Books, 1999) and edited Mac OS X for Unix (by Matisse Enzer, Peachpit Press, 2002). He is also the author of Quip City (Robert D. Reed Publishers, 2004) Howard lives with his wife, a physician, and their three cats in the Silicon Valley.

Senior Analyst: Storage & Information Management
Sonia Lelii has covered Information Management, Storage & Security for over 15 years--as an analyst and as an award-winning journalist.  Her keen insights and bottom-line approach to assessing the business benefits of technology usage continues to influence scores of senior executives.

Lelii's previous roles include: Research Analyst, Information Management & Security, Harte-Hanks/Aberdeen Group, Analyst at The 451 Group, Senior Technology Columnist at VAR Business/CMP Media and Senior Writer/Editor at eWeek, PCWeek/Ziff Davis Media. Lelii holds a degree in Journalism from Temple University and likes to chill with her husband and three canines on weekends.

Senior Analyst, Front-Office Technologies & Healthcare Sector
Sue Hildreth has been writing for the computer industry since 1986, starting as a new products editor for Cahners Business Computer Systems magazine.  Subsequent roles have included executive editor of for ebizQ, an on-line publication covering e-business integration trends, staff editor for Computer Publishing Group's WebServer Online and Server/Workstation Expert magazines, and editor of Software Success, a business newsletter for software executives.  Known for her focus on clean structure, strong content, and clear, readable copy, Hildreth s work has appeared in numerous industry publications such as Computerworld, Processor, SearchSecurity.com, SearchCRM.com, SearchSMB.com, InformIT.com, and Dice.com.

Hildreth's coverage areas will encompass enterprise software trends and technologies with specific emphasis on CRM, Mobile Solutions, Enterprise Search, e-mail security, identity and access management, remote access for mobile employees, enterprise content management, and the business benefits of Web 2.0.

She holds a B.A. in journalism, Phi Kappa Phi from the University of Iowa, and resides in Waltham, MA with her husband, daughter, three cats and a small herd of guinea pigs. In her spare time she enjoys reading medieval history.

Senior Analyst: Business Intelligence & Analytics
Louis Olds has significant expertise in business intelligence, analytics and enterprise software. Prior to joining Hypatia, Olds was VP at KXEN a provider of data mining tools, VP at PeopleSoft [acquired by Oracle], and Senior Analyst at First Nationwide Bank and TMAC. As an independent consultant, Olds focused on helping clients define strategic requirements, understand competitive threats and opportunities, survey the market for compatible technologies and provide guidance for solution features and architecture.

Moreover, Olds is experienced in on-demand pricing analytics solutions specific to CPG/Retail industries as well as applications for natural language search and text analytics. He holds a B.S. Chemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi.


Director, Research Operations
Gill Press joins Team Hypatia with over 15 years experience in product marketing, market research and competitive intelligence for EMC Corporation, Digital Equipment and Research Corporation. Press is known for his leverage of market intelligence to help clients create strong value propositions, enhance thought leadership and streamline new business development initiatives.

A native of Israel, Gill holds an MBA from Northeastern University with a concentration in Finance & Marketing.

Mim Bonn comes to Hypatia with decades of experience in synthesizing and communicating the business value derived from use of technology products, solutions and managed service offerings.  From educating end-users to influencing executive decision-makers, Bonn's aptitude for transforming complex subject matter into clear business value is second to none. Areas of expertise include: technology, healthcare, and solutions for end-user productivity.

An alumna of Digital Equipment Corporation, Mim holds a BA in Philosophy and English from Clark University. In her spare time, Mim enjoys painting, zydeco and road trips.
